Quantified Self, Quantified Awesome!

Almost as quickly as you can blink your eyes, it is the last week of January! Unfortunately just as quickly, our goals of coming to Vibetality five times a week may have change from "something I'll do" into "Something I need to make time for... someday" We might already be finding ourselves stuck, frustrated, and not sure what to do next? Or maybe like a lot of us we have already lost the Good Vibes of 2015 because we started too fast! It's important to remember that progress isn't something that happens all at once, progress is a progression of small changes that add up over time. If you need a little reminder, check out the 2015 New Year's Resolution Video we put together. The first step to successful human progression is loving, supporting and understanding ourselves. Once we have those things down, we can do anything!
Vibetality is ready to help you quantify your awesome! With Yoga!

In 2015 our goal at Vibetality is to help us all achieve everything we set out to do! To help we are bringing a self quantification station to Vibetality! The goal will be to track 9 different measurements over the course of 2015, so you can keep an eye on your physical progress.

Too often in our world of constant, and immediate feedback, the small changes of progression can get lost in the blur of life. If something isn't tapping us on the forehead with feedback, we can often lose sight of our achievements and become frustrated.  Tracking our progress can give us really important feedback that can help keep us motivated. Let's say we came to Vibetality to improve our flexibility, having a record showing our progress won't help us do the splits any faster, but it will keep us informed and help to keep us motivated along the way, by showing our progress.  If we don’t monitor our progress, we may end up missing all the small steps we took towards our goal!

How can quantification help?

Quantifying our results helps us stay focused, and gives us feedback along our journey, and not just when we achieve what we set out to do. Imagine trying to climb a mountain without knowing if you were progressing along the way, it would surely be frustrating.

If we don’t quantify, we are more likely to focus on our missteps and failures, then we are on our successes. Naturally most of us tend to focus on the negative side of things, so getting positive feedback along the way can help us stay motivated.

Quantifying makes our goal setting easier by allowing us to break big tasks into smaller steps. Many of us can get overwhelmed in the face of the monumental tasks we challenge ourselves with. Image if you had to climb that same mountain in one step, that thought can be pretty overwhelming, but by breaking down our accomplishments we can climb our own individual mountains one step at a time.

Quantifying our progress will help give us feedback on how we are progressing, and allow us to tweak our activities in accordance to our desired results.

Start your quantifying your awesome at Vibetality today!
